About First Lady Shannon Williams

Shannon Williams, Ph.D. is the First Lady and Administrator of The R.O.C.K. Atlanta. Dr. Williams became a partner of The R.O.C.K. World Outreach International headquarters in 1994 and has been a committed vision contributor to the ministry ever since.

Throughout her tenure with the organization, she has been honored to serve in a number of capacities, from executive assistant to Pastor/Founder Dr. Dana Carson, to church growth director, to curriculum writer and developer, to children’s church worker and youth ministry leader, to leadership director, to director of church plants, among numerous other roles. Her two decades of ministry immersion at The R.O.C.K. international headquarters in Houston, Texas, took her throughout the United States, and on several occasions, to the continent of Africa for missions work, including Johannesburg and Cape Town, South Africa, Kenya, and Monrovia, Liberia.

Dr. Williams’ most recent (and favorite!) role within the organization is that of serving as the proud wife and First Lady of Pastor Lew Williams. After wedding in October 2012, she and Pastor Williams were dispatched by Dr. Dana Carson to plant a new R.O.C.K. Bible Study, The R.O.C.K. Atlanta, Georgia. It is at this growing, thriving ministry that she serves as the ministry administrator and the Christian Education and Bible Study instructor, leading classes weekly that focus on Christian doctrine and Christ’s kingdom message.

Dr. Williams is a proud alumnus of The University of Texas at Austin, where she completed her bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Her research area of expertise is business incubation and micro-enterprise development. A seasoned entrepreneur, she greatly enjoys using her training and experience to help kingdom believers establish and grow businesses that are dedicated to supporting the Great Commission through global missions. Dr. Williams has also studied at Kingdom Bible University, where she earned her Diploma of Theological Studies.

Dr. Williams loves God, God’s people, and discipling others through the practical teaching of sound doctrine. She is humbled by the opportunity to serve God’s people in any capacity that He sees fit, knowing that it is all by His grace that she is able to do so!
